The Tales Association of Philosophy Postgraduate Students is pleased to announce the celebration of the
Ist International Congress for New Researchers in History of Thought
Intellectual Creations Regarding the Book of Nature
The Congress will take place in the Faculty of Philosophy of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid
from the 6th to the 9th of March 2012.
Aims of the Congress
This Congress aims to promote the encounter of the community of young researchers devoted to History of Thought, focusing on the Antiquity, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. This initiative arises from the perception of interdisciplinary dialog as a relevant activity for the development of our research work, which unquestionably contributes to academic enrichment. This is the reason why we invited training researchers from academia and various specialties to participate. This determination is based on the pluralistic methodological hypothesis: that paying attention to historical, social and cultural complexes, involving any human production, allows a clearer glimpse and helps to establish it’s course.
The Congress will be divided into four different days considering the different topics. In every one of them there will be round tables specialized in all the subjects present in this call for papers.
Since this is the first edition of the Congress – for which we suggest as the linking topic the subject mentioned in it’s subtitle, this is, intelectual creations that tried to imitate, describe and explain nature – it is open to papers related to the European intellectual development that do not necessarily have nature as the object of study or inspiration.
Our wish is that this Congress could contribute to individual and collective construction of our intellectual work as young researchers.
